Spectator Policy
We care about everyone having fun and protecting the great reputation of our club!
At PREP Hockey we encourage all fans and students to come out to support the team in a fun and respectful manner. Hockey is a fantastic spectator sport and it is filled with excitement and emotion. Please support the PREP Hockey Club and its rink partners by respecting the rink, players, referees and attendees.
PREP Hockey, in accordance with our Rink partners, reserves the right to refuse entry or eject any attendees that do not abide by this policy.
Spectators shall not:
- Use obscene, offensive or vulgar language/gestures, including swearing, to anyone at anytime;
- Openly dispute, argue or protest a decision made by an Official or Security personnel;
- Taunt players, coaches, officials, or other spectators (verbally or through use of gesture(s)) by means of baiting, ridiculing, threatening physical violence;
- Throw any object in the spectators viewing area, player’s bench, penalty box or on the ice surface;
- Bang on the Rink Glass; – A warning will be issued and, if repeated, offenders or groups of offenders will be asked to leave.
Note: If you are asked to leave the rink (guilty or not), do it! Refusal to leave or attempts to discuss the reasons for your ejection with the PREP Security will only escalate the situation. Leaving the rink means leaving the rink; do not return to the seating area or attempt to watch the game through the doors. Illegal behavior or extreme disruption may be reported to the police and the spectator risks being banned from the rink or other PREP activities permanently.
Spectators in any area of the rink; inside or outside, are required to abide by these rules and any other rules implemented by our rink partners.
PREP Hockey club loves our fans and encourages everyone to come out and support the PREP players. Let us all do so in a fun and respectful manner for all to enjoy!
Go PREP!
